The Pan American Plant Membrane Biology Workshop (PAPMBW) brings researchers in North and Latin America together to present and discuss current research in plant membrane biology. The scope of the workshop encompasses membrane structure, membrane transporters, protein trafficking, and endomembrane dynamics, as well as the techniques and approaches utilized in plant membrane studies. Sections are led by prominent researchers in the focus area with talks presented by postdocs, graduate students, and undergraduate researchers and extensive discussion periods following talks. The emphasis on trainee presentations offers a supportive yet rigorous environment Workshop sessions on publishing and peer review, as well as emerging technologies, are open to all, but target early career researchers and trainees.
